Private lessons
Private lessons establish a great environment for working on specific behavior problems and establishing basic behavior cues. Lessons are usually done within the dog’s home but can be done at a local park or walking through your neighborhood. With these lessons we are able to focus on your individual dog and family’s needs. The first private lesson involves setting up a plan to work with your dog that is suited around your family’s goals. Private lessons are the core of Mind Your Manners, and Rachele’s personal favorites. Lessons are typically one hour at a rate of $65/hour depending on date and time of lesson. They can be scheduled as one evaluation or on a weekly and monthly basis.
Private lessons include but are not limited to:
- Potty training
- Understanding your new puppy
- How to avoid excitable door greetings
- Incorporating a newly adopted dog into home
- Leash manners
- Multiple dogs in the home
- Basic manners

Matchmaker
This program is special to me because of my time working at an animal shelter. An emotional decision can lead to a sad ending. The matchmakers program is designed for anyone researching getting a new dog. Bringing a new dog into the family is a lifelong commitment that should not be taken lightly. Through the matchmakers program you are given the opportunity to have a professional dog trainer assist you in finding a dog whose personality matches your lifestyle. You can save yourself a lot of unnecessary heartbreak and problems by making an educated choice when getting a new dog.

Your Baby. Your Dog.
Mind Your Manners will help prepare your dog for a new baby, and how they can best grow together. By preparing your dog you will be preventing future problems by identifying them ahead of time. Baby preparation lessons are a one time only lesson that run for 90 minutes at a rate of $105. Ask about gift certificates, these make a great gift for a baby shower.
Preparation lessons include:
- What you can do now
- What should be done while baby is in hospital
- Baby and Dog first meeting plan

Group classes: Group classes are currently taught seasonally at PAWS animal shelter in Lynnwood. These are a 6-week Basic obedience class for dog’s ages 5 months and older. Class includes basic obedience cues such as sit, down, leave-it, on your bed, and loose leash walking. Please refer to the PAWS Website for current schedule. Limited to 7 dogs per class.

Dog Walking
Mind Your Manners dog walking service is a great addition to your daily routine. Enjoy the comfort of knowing that a certified dog trainer is caring for your pooch! A tired dog is a good dog and each dog has a daily requirement for exercise. Relish in the convenience of having your dog exercised and cared for before you arrive home.
As each dog and family is unique so are the needs of this service. Below is a list of the full range of care for every home.
- 30 minute exercise
- Potty break for eldery or injured pets
- Daily medications
- Puppy potty break and socialization

Day Training
Along with dog walking, Mind Your Manners is now offering a day training program. This program will have the same luxuries as dog walking but will include obedience training. From polite leash walking to behavior cues, you can have your dog trained while you are absent. An initial private lesson is required for the day training program. Once-daily day training fees are $35 for 30 minutes.
